It is our pleasure to welcome you to our Church, here at Upper Norwood, where there’s been a Methodist presence for over a century.
Our vision for this church is to continue to be a welcoming and caring community. To nurture and equip our community in their Christian discipleship, prepare the church for mission and evangelism at local and wider levels and to resource and equip lay leadership in the church. If you are looking for a warm and friendly worship environment and to be a part of your local worship community, please come and visit us.
As a people called Methodist, we strive to be a community where “none is excluded from the circle of God’s grace. We do this by replicating the love of God, who first loved us, through our Lord Jesus Christ, by extending a gracious welcome and loving kindness to all who come through our Church doors. For in-so-doing, we believe that we may “unwittingly have entertained angels”.
You will find us a hospitable and nurturing place. Our leadership team is there to help all the members and visitors to experience God in our fellowship. Currently our membership of all ages represents many countries and more than one continent. Some of our congregation are also members of the Ghanaian Methodist Fellowship who meet monthly after our morning worship. The spiritual life of Upper Norwood is based on Sunday morning worship congregation varies between 35 and 40. You are most welcome to join us for our weekly Sunday morning worship is at 11;00, or with Holy Communion every second of the month. Our weekly events will be as advertised.
So, whether you’re joining us in worship on a Sunday morning, or a user of this ‘Tardis’ of a building, you are most welcome! I hope you’ll find our website informative too, but please do not hesitate to contact me for further assistance or information.
We hope to see you soon; may the Lord bless you and bless you kindly.
