A Joyful Noise’
Sunday 17th March at 3pm
The afternoon is entitled ‘A Joyful Noise’, and that joyful noise is being made by The London Gallery Quire. The quire is one of the UK’s leading performers of West Gallery Music – a type of amateur church music which flourished in the UK in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries. Opportunities to hear this sort of music live are few and far between. They have promised us a varied programme, including some audience participation. We are expecting about thirty singers and instrumentalists. Tickets are not required as there is a retiring collection in aid of the church, the quire, and Lee Oasis.
